Work With Me

Individual Internal Family Systems Therapy

Online IFS therapy for thoughtful adults, across Australia and worldwide.

I offer integrative Internal Family Systems (IFS) telehealth therapy via secure video from Brisbane, Australia.

IFS therapy is for people curious about their inner world and ready to look at and change patterns that shape their lives. Many of the people I work with have already tried other therapies and now want a deeper way of working.

Individual IFS Therapy Sessions

Individual IFS therapy is the heart of my practice and how most clients work with me.

In these sessions, we take time to compassionately explore your inner world. We discover the parts that carry worry, stress, self-criticism, and doubt, alongside the parts seeking connection, rest, or change. The goal is to build a clearer relationship with your inner system so your choices, boundaries, and relationships feel more aligned with who you truly are.

IFS gives us a map. Together we explore which parts are active, what they're protecting you from, and how they relate to one another. Over time, many people notice clearer decisions, less inner conflict, healthier relationships with others - and a genuinely kinder relationship with themselves.

I didn’t expect therapy to feel this collaborative and respectful. The way Corene related to my parts changed how I relate to them. It changed what I thought was possible.

Format and Logistics

Sessions are held online via secure video, making therapy accessible wherever you are in Australia or worldwide (with consideration for my Brisbane AEST time zone). You will be provided a video link at the time of booking.

Once we decide to work together, we'll agree on a regular time that fits your life as sustainably as possible.

How Sessions Work

Session Frequency

Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum and develop a shared understanding of their inner world. Once the work feels more established, some shift to fortnightly sessions. We'll decide together what feels sustainable and supportive.

Session Fees

90 minute sessions are AUD$190 per session

60 minute sessions are AUD$150 per session.

Sessions are paid for at the time of booking, with full refunds for cancellations made 36 hours in advance of your session. Please see the FAQs for further details.

Session Length

Most sessions are 90 minutes. IFS work benefits from longer sessions. 90 minutes gives us time to complete a piece of inner parts work without rushing.

Shorter 60 minute sessions are available if that's a better fit for your schedule or needs. We'll discuss what works best for you.

Duration of Therapy

IFS is typically not a brief or quick-fix approach. Some people work with me for a focused period of several months. Others continue longer as we explore deeper layers of their system over time.

After-Session Support

After each session I will send you a summary of the main parts we worked with to support you developing a deep understanding of your system. I will also help you develop your own map of your parts, and provide suggestions on how to work with your parts between sessions.

How I Work in Sessions

Core Framework: Internal Family Systems

IFS forms the foundation of every session, giving us a clear way to understand your parts, your history, and how your system responds in the present moment.

Integrative Approach

When helpful, I weave in complementary tools and techniques:

Mindfulness & somatic awareness - Connecting with your body and present-moment experience

CBT - Examining rigid thought patterns when a part is stuck in black-and-white thinking

ACT - Learning to notice and unhook from difficult thoughts without being controlled by them

DBT - Practical skills for managing intense emotions or overwhelming moments

Narrative therapy - Exploring the stories you tell about yourself and your identity

Solution-focused questions - Clarifying specific decisions or next steps

These approaches support the IFS core. We choose together what feels useful rather than following a rigid formula.

My Style

My approach is trauma-informed, compassionate, thoughtful, and collaborative. You don't need to know how to "do" IFS before we start. I'll guide you, and we'll learn the language of your parts together. To see if I am the right therapist for you, book a free 20 minute connection call.

IFS makes the most sense for how my mind works, but I valued that Corene has other approaches too. She knew when to take a different path to get where I needed to go.

Who I Work With

I work with thoughtful adults online across Australia and worldwide who:

  • Are ready for deeper inner work rather than quick fixes or surface-level techniques

  • Feel curious about their reactions and want to understand why they respond the way they do

  • Notice repeating patterns in relationships, work, or decision-making and are ready to explore what sits beneath them

  • Are drawn to parts work and the Internal Family Systems approach

  • Can commit to regular sessions for at least several months

  • Are comfortable with online therapy sessions

Who Finds this Work Helpful

Many of my clients are intelligent, capable people who find themselves stuck in patterns that insight alone hasn't shifted. They're often the ones others turn to for support while feeling conflicted or disconnected inside.

You might recognise yourself here if you're someone who thinks deeply, values self-awareness, and has likely tried other forms of therapy or self-help that felt too surface-level.

What my clients share is a readiness: not necessarily feeling "ready" in the sense of having it all figured out, but ready to stop managing symptoms and start understanding root patterns. Ready to meet themselves with more honesty, even when it's uncomfortable.

If you're drawn to depth, and a compassionate therapeutic approach that respects your intelligence while encouraging you to grow, this work may be a good fit.
