Who ADHD coaching is for
People come to therapeutic ADHD coaching with me when work, study and daily life takes more effort than it seems to for everyone else. You might benefit from ADHD coaching if:
You have been diagnosed with ADHD or AuDHD, and need help figuring out what that means for work, study and life now.
Work or study feels more stressful than it should, and you struggle to keep up or focus
You want better habits, but new routines fall apart after a few days
You feel burnt out from masking at work or at home.
You are clever and capable, and tired of feeling shame or like something is wrong with you.
Many of my clients are professionals and high achievers who have held it together for years. The cost often shows up as exhaustion, shame, anxiety or a tough inner critic.
How therapeutic ADHD coaching can help you
We’ll take a look at how your brain works, your patterns, day-to-day challenges and goals. As we continue to work together we will create strategies and approaches for:
Time blindness and running late
Starting tasks and following them through
Planning and prioritising a work or study week
Emotional regulation
Rejection sensitivity
Routines for sleep and home that hold up on hard days
Study and work performance
Masking and burnout
Relationships and communication
Therapeutic ADHD coaching with a psychotherapist
Most ADHD coaches focus on systems and accountability. I do that too.
My post-graduate specialist training in psychology, neuroscience and counselling means I also help you when psychological, relationship, past trauma or emotional issues that can make functioning as neurodivergent person even more difficult.
When needed, we will work together to identify what will help you through other approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Parts Work (Internal Family Systems).
My approach is collaborative, warm and neurodiversity affirming.
My priority is to tailor support that so it works best for your brain, nervous system and preferences.
