Therapy with me is…

  • Flexible

Some psychologists and psychotherapists are trained in one main approach and might use that for everyone. I work differently. Together we will explore what will work best for you based on your history, the challenges you are working through, preferences and goals.

  • Collaborative

You're the expert on your life, experience and what works for you. I bring therapeutic models, frameworks and tools. Together we will explore and work with the approach (or a combination of approaches) that will support real change for you.

  • Integrative

While I mainly work using parts work therapy (IFS), I also weave in elements from other therapeutic approaches when needed. If IFS doesn’t suit you, no worries - I will guide you through other approaches and evidence-based modalities to support you.

Common Issues and Concerns I Help

People bring diverse (and often overlapping) concerns to therapy. Common themes I support clients with include:

  • If you are pulled in different directions or paralysed by competing needs, we will work to gain clarity on what's driving the conflict and how to move forward.

  • If you notice attachment dynamics and patterns keep repeating despite your best efforts, therapy can help uncover and heal the causes, and help you to make better, conscious choices.

  • If you feel frustrated by procrastination, difficulty completing things, or getting in your own way, therapy can help discover what's underneath the resistance and clear the path.

  • You might be tired of battling with a harsh inner critic, body image struggles, or persistent sense of not being enough. In therapy we will work to develop genuine self-compassion that changes how you relate to yourself.

  • If you are overworking, over-caring for others, or finding it impossible to rest, therapy can help build sustainable self-care and boundaries without guilt or collapse.

  • You may be navigating changes in work, relationships, identity, or life stage. You may have moved abroad and are struggling. Therapy can help work through grief from loss and to rebuild clarity.

My approach: Compassionate, Integrative & Personalised

Many clients want to work with Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. This is a powerful approach that uses “parts work” to understanding inner conflict, self-sabotage, and the parts of you driving your reactions.

But not everyone needs (nor likes) pure IFS parts work. Some clients benefit more from somatic processing, cognitive restructuring, or values-based action. Many people benefit from a blend of approaches. Everyone is unique, and I adapt therapy to work for you.

I draw from different psychological frameworks to tailor support that’s right for you.

What Therapy May Look Like for You

integrative therapy approaches

When Internal Family Systems is the right fit for you:

We will explore your inner system of parts, including the parts that carry worry, criticism, protection, or old wounds. We help those parts trust that you can handle what they've been protecting you from.

If you are interested in IFS therapy, you can learn more here or download a free guide to mapping your parts here.

IFS therapy

When other approaches are supportive:

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when you need to defuse unhelpful thoughts and take action in alignment with your values.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) when we're working on changing specific cognitive patterns.

  • Solution-focused questions when you need clarity on goals, direction decisions.

  • Somatic awareness, guided imagery and mindfulness to help process trauma and emotion, and anchor you in the present moment.

Together we will find what works for you.

What Clients Say

  • "I didn't expect therapy to feel this collaborative and respectful. The slow pace created the safety I needed."

    T.E., Adelaide

  • "I'm not trying to fix or rescue everyone anymore. I can stay present and care without losing myself."

    J.C., Melbourne

  • "I feel like a different person. I don't get triggered like I used to, and I've learned so much along the way.""

    A.G., Brisbane

  • "The biggest change is that my mind is calmer, so I also am more present too. I don't get overwhelmed like I used to."

    L.T., Singapore

2: First Session

In our first individual therapy session, we’ll spend time exploring what you have been struggling with, clarity your goals for therapy and sketch out a plan for you. If you are interested in IFS therapy, we will also do some initial parts work.

3: Ongoing Sessions & Support

We will meet regularly to deepen understanding of old patterns, and begin the process of healing and change. Most clients meet with me weekly for the first 6 to 8 weeks. Thereafter some like to continue with weekly, while others prefer fortnightly sessions. We will talk about what works best for you. Between sessions I also will offer practical techniques and actions to integrate the insights and changes that happen in-session.

Working With Me May Be Good For You If…

If you are here, then you are likely a smart, self-aware person. You may have done therapy before, or perhaps you have read or consumed self-help resources.

You've might have tried other approaches that felt too simplistic, too rigid, or just didn't create lasting change. Or perhaps you’ve become curious about Internal Family Systems therapy.

caring online therapy

  • Think deeply and value understanding why, not just what to do

  • Notice patterns repeating despite your best efforts

  • Feel capable on the outside but conflicted or disconnected inside

  • Are looking for therapy that is non-judgmental, caring, trauma-informed, and paced in a way that honours your goals and nervous system.

  • Want therapy that adapts to you, not a one-size-fits-all approach

  • Are ready for depth over quick fixes.

Sessions are paid for at the time of booking, with full refunds for cancellations made 24 hours in advance of your session.

Session Frequency

Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build momentum over 6 to 8 weeks. Once the work feels more established, some shift to fortnightly sessions. We'll decide together what feels sustainable and supportive.

Session Length

Most 1:1 therapy sessions are 90 minutes. IFS therapy work benefits from longer sessions and a longer session gives us time to complete deep work without rushing.

60 minute sessions are available if that's a better fit for your schedule or needs. We'll discuss what works best for you.

Duration of Therapy

If you are here for IFS therapy, then it is important to note this is typically not a brief or quick-fix approach. Some people work with me for a focused period of several months. Others continue longer as we explore deeper layers of their system over time.

After-Session Support

After each session I will send you a summary of the main parts we worked with to support you developing a deep understanding of your system. I will also help you develop your own map of your parts, and provide suggestions on how to work with your parts between sessions.

Take the first step toward real change.

In a free 20 minute call we’ll:

✓ talk about what you need support with

✓ explore if my approach may work for you

✓ answer any questions about the process or fees.

No pressure, and no hard sell (I promise). Just a calm conversation about whether this is the right fit for you.
